• Modern Machine Guarding  Dedicated to the design and manufacture of perimeter guarding for industrial production cells/lines, individual machine guarding, as well as other industrial/manufacturing facility needs. 

Years of experience and good ideas.

The machine shop side of our business led us into contact with robot manufacturers and robotics integrators that need precision parts. They need them fast, and they need them correct the first time.  With the growth in robotics and automated manufacturing, there is an increase in requests for guarding that is strong, easy to install, reasonably priced, and good looking!  Modern Machine Guarding was organized to address these needs with products that are easy to understand, easy to specify, and that fit the budget. As we produced custom cells for various clients, we noticed the similarities and differences, and the strengths and weaknesses of the systems. We then built systems that incorporate the best ideas from each system. We standardized systems wherever possible to keep cost to a minimum, and increase the value of our products. The idea is to use standard systems for 80% or more of the job, and build custom elements only at necessary critical points.

Combining the latest technology and traditional machine tools.

To meet demanding requirements, we have invested in up-to-date technology. Haas CNC Machining and Turning centers sit alongside such venerable workhorses as LeBlond, Bridgeport and Cincinnati Milling machines.  Waterjet and Laser cutting machines bring speed and accuracy that could barely be imagined years ago. The combination of new and old tools gives us the ability to do many different operations in house. New tools and technology give us the ability to do many different operations here in house.

We are up to date in the office.

In the office, computer software has revolutionized the business. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) software keeps live track of all work/jobs in progress. Our design and engineering team now work with Solidworks 3-D modeling software, 2-D drafting software, and other graphic software to ensure fit, form, functionality, and overall customer satisfaction.
