Manufacturing Processes
Modern Machine Guarding builds all guarding systems in house from first cut to powder coat finish using top quality materials and machines.
- Angle, channel, flats and brackets—sheet metal flat patterns cut on laser or waterjet, formed on brake press.
- Wire mesh, expanded metal—sheared.
- All parts are thoroughly deburred.
- Welds are ground flush.
- All parts are thoroughly steam cleaned prior to powder coat.
Having the right tools and experience makes a difference.
- Forming parts rather than pruchasing them guarantees a superior quality and a more pleasing form. Panels have a slightly radiused “softer” edge at the bend. The surface is smooth with no scale to spoil the finish. This method of manufacture also allows greater flexibility and economy in locating the holes, slots and notches required to assemble a system.
Every aspect from design to shipping is managed with pride in craftmanship and service.
- Designs and layouts are produced using Soldiworks and Draftsight software.
- Proposals are presented in simple and straightforward files to communicate design intent.
- We thoroughly deburr parts and emphasize welding skill. We plug weld where possible and grind carefully avoiding unnecessary welding beads.
- Parts are wiped down, inspected and steam cleaned before powder coat finish is applied.
- The entire process is mangaged using ERP and MRP software to assure prompt delivery of every order.
Choosing the right system can save time and money
- Every system is designed to achieve desired results in the most economical and practical manner. Budget, functionality, and safety requirements determine which system is best.
